Are you interested in developing your leadership skills, promoting school spirit, and being a voice for your peers? Run for Student Organization (S.O) next year to leave your mark on Ryan 216. Members are elected senators who work closely with the S.O. advisors to support the mission, goals, and core values of Ryan 216. The members also help raise awareness for different causes, as well as create and facilitate different community projects. In this club, you are able to express your own ideas and discuss them with your peers.
There are many benefits of joining the Student Organization. Each member is given a chance to express their own thoughts and opinions through many engaging activities, such as voting! Joining the S.O is a great opportunity to improve leadership abilities, collaboration skills, and teamwork. As a S.O member, you are able to make suggestions about issues around the school or school events. Furthermore, the students in the school who are not a member of the S.O also participate in improving the school! For example, the S.O members can suggest ideas, and the students in the school can vote through an assembly. In S.O, YOUR voice will be heard. S.O can help boost your confidence and improve your communication skills. You are able to interact with other members of the S.O as well.
To be a member of the S.O, you need to be kind, thoughtful, creative, and active! They need to be respectful to their fellow members and organizers. People in the S.O are also mindful of other people’s opinions. For example, if someone suggests a solution to a problem, members should agree or respectfully disagree and point out the flaws in this solution. Doing this highlights the perceptibility of the members!
Student Organization can just be the right place for you! S.O. meetings are held in room 345 on Thursdays from 2:35 PM to 3:35 PM after school! Students are welcomed to join!
